Storyboard Posting

Option 1

1. Go to preview storyboard
2. Click the orange share button
3. Copy and paste the “give this link to your friend so they can watch your storyboard” link
4. Paste the link to your blog

Option 2

1. Go to preview storyboard
2. Click the orange share button
3. Copy the “copy this link to embed your storyboard” link
4. go to blogger and click “create new post”
5. Click “edit HTML”
6. Paste in the link and publish post

All work set so far is due next Thursday 26th January, 2012.

I need to review your work before entering you for the coursework and exam components.

Storyboards

You need to create a storyboard outlining the order of events and the camera angles you are planning to use when shooting your two minute opening sequence.

I gave you a drawn example plus a set of templates during last week's lesson. You may wish to use a storyboard software. The only example I could find was http://www.pikkipi.com/

You may wish to conduct some further research of your own in finding storyboard software.

Character Analysis

Once you have outlined your film idea and posted it to your blog, you will need to give a profile of your characters.

Give their name, age and gender.

State how the character dresses, behaves, their likes and dislikes.

Photograph the actor / actress playing the part; ideally in the costume he or she will be wearing in the clip.

Also, find examples of stills / clips / music videos which have similarity in what the character would be wearing.

Tasks

1. Give an outline of your story - we ran some practice 'tweets' in class during the last week of term, these outlines should be longer than this.
I need these outlines to state what is going to be the story of the whole film, not just the opening sequence. This outline should be a decent sized paragraph. Post this on your blog.

2. Try and discuss your idea and outline with a friend or family member and gather some feedback from them. Post some of the points from the discussion on your blog. You may have go some ideas from them, you might not agree with them but at least show that you have had some feedback. If you wish, extend the discussion with another or several others.

3. Create a rough script of the sequence. Write it in an appropriate format. I will post an example of a script to help you.

4. Look for the location of your filming and take photographs of these locations. Post these as well.

I thought I would have time to add some homework to the blog today - not the case!!!!

I will post holiday tasks up online on Wednesday (Sydney time).  Please look out and get the tasks completed over the break!!!
